Providing Sustainable Water Solutions to Drought-Affected Communities
This national-level initiative aims to combat water scarcity by constructing tube wells in drought-prone regions across Sri Lanka, ensuring year-round access to safe and reliable groundwater for drinking, agriculture, and daily use.
Focusing on the most vulnerable and underserved areas, the project addresses the urgent needs of families facing chronic water shortages due to climate change, deforestation, and poor infrastructure. Each tube well is strategically drilled to serve entire communities, including schools, religious centers, and health facilities, promoting health, hygiene, food security, and community resilience.
By restoring access to a basic human necessity—clean water—this project empowers rural populations and strengthens long-term climate adaptation strategies.
