Supporting Patient Care and Comfort
In a heartfelt effort to uplift healthcare standards and improve the comfort of patients, a special donation of pillows, mattresses, and mosquito nets was made to Wathupitiwala Hospital.
This initiative aims to provide much-needed relief and dignity to in-patients, particularly those in the general and long-term care wards, many of whom face daily challenges due to overcrowding and limited resources.
These essential items will significantly enhance patient rest and recovery while helping to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses—especially important given the rise in dengue and related health threats.
The official handover ceremony took place in the presence of hospital administrators, medical officers, nursing staff, and community representatives. Expressing gratitude, the hospital management acknowledged the donors’ valuable contribution and emphasized the importance of continued community partnerships in strengthening public healthcare services.
This act of kindness not only improves hospital conditions but also stands as a reminder that compassion and collective responsibility are key pillars of a healthy society.
